now that i have written poetry what should i do next. short fiction seems like an 'appropriate' step, as does more poetry. maybe i will write a novel and it will be the most minimalist novel ever, more minimal than any other novel ever, really fucking minimal. in 50 years penguin will publish it on their 'modern classics' imprint, and in the author biography explain that such a prodigal work by such a young author was unprecedented, and daunted by the pressure put on him by his publisher and the media, ben rosamond tragically committed suicide at the age of 17 (18?19?) seems good.
